Very Important, two services this month!
Please support our next service which will take place on Sunday, January 15th,
2nd of Epiphany, when Revnd. Hugh Broad, our Area Dean, and Chaplain of Costa Almeria, will preside and preach at a Service of Holy Communion. Fr. Hugh will be visiting us as the Bishop’s representative, to discuss with our Committee and with any who are able and interested in meeting him, our plans for the development of the Costa Brava Chaplaincy.
I cannot stress enough the importance of this visit and of how we present ourselves and our project. The Committee will be working hard on the creation of a serious business plan to present to the Diocese and I am confident that between us, we shall be able to discern our way forward. Many of you have already taken copies of our prayer for the future development of the Chaplaincy and I encourage all to use it regularly and thoughtfully.
If, prior to this visit, you have any questions or suggestions which you would like to discuss, please call or e-mail me and I will do all in my power to help.
At the end of January, Sunday 29th, we look forward to another visit from our dear friend and loyal supporter Revnd. Marj. Stanton-Hyde.
Sincerely,
John.
P.S. If you are wondering how you may make a personal contribution to the increasing numbers of really needy people in our localities, I should like to suggest you contact your local offices of Càritas Diocesana (www. caritasgirona.cat). Any gifts of food, warm clothing or money would be gratefully received and in this way we can partially repay the hospitality which we receive from the local R.C. Church. This is DIRECT help and you can be sure it will go straight to those most in need.
