Some of you may be aware that I have been campaigning for a better transport system into the Costa Brava from Barcelona, due to few flights going into Girona.
I wrote to The Director of Transport for the Generalitat de Catalunya. He sent me the attached letter, which I thought may be helpful for many people. I subsequently wrote back saying that although Tossa and Lloret may be happy with the extra transport, further north this is not the case. I asked if there was any chance of extending train services to Caldes de Malevella, Girona and Figueres, further into the evening, so that local residents can visit Barcelona at night and anyone coming in on a Barcelona flight won’t be stranded. This has been brought to my attention by people who kindly responded to my request for letters.
I would not normally talk politics on the church site, but transport, or lack of it, is a problem for so many of us, not just for business people like myself but for all the private residents.
