When we come to live here we often miss our local community, village events etc, look no further, you will find a new community right here.

Our aim over recent years has been to stage events to fund our long term plan, a permanent Chaplain for The Costa Brava. From, Musical, Sports, Children’s entertainments, traditional events, summer fetes, Christmas fairs etc, throughout the year.  We need to continue this aim, but we are getting closer to our goal. In 2011 we also started a new tradition of a Christmas fair undercover for the first time, this aloud us to expand the fete and proved a huge success. With changes like this we will not only reach our goal faster, but it will also advertise our church to a wider audience in The Costa Brava. We hope to see our families with children growing and adding to the Sunbeams. We need all generations to enjoy our church, soif you are seeing this for the first time, please come along (Last Sunday of every month see church).

We must not lose sight of what is really important for our church, A church is a growing community of people, amongst us are many caring people who would like to be there for anyone who may need a friend to talk to, or someone to perhaps visit them in hospital, or provide a meal. The Costa Brava is like one big village, and those of us who come from other countries all have one thing in common, from time to time we may need real friends and comfort. This is what our church can provide. Our website should be treated as a village website, as well as fund raising, we hope that you will find information which may help you in your life here, The links include many of the well known organisations, both for the church and for general entertainment. We would ask you to dip into this site from time to time and see what’s going on, any comments from legitimate enquiries (not spams) will be posted on the site, we need your input and ideas, to make this work.

We are a Charity, look at ‘About Us’ and you will see that we have an exciting few years ahead. We are hoping to serve the English speaking community in a very special way. We are looking for more people in the Costa Brava who would like to get more involved in one way or another. These events will be all sizes, sometimes church events and sometimes not and we are looking for like minded people to help, but we also need to see as many people as each venue as possible. Perhaps you’d like to have a coffee morning on our behalf, size really doesn’t matter. Are you looking for friends or activities? not just in one area but throughout the whole region. Or maybe you have a talent, perhaps you could offer us your expertise as a gift, if we agree to advertise your business on this website.

Christmas Carol Service Dec 2011

We were very excited to include our little ‘Sunbeams’ this year, This was a really inspirational service. We are very proud that we managed to incorporate our smaller church members while still holding on to the solemnity and celebration of a lovely Christmas celebration. During the reading our little Sunbeams stood ‘fairly’ still and moved when the carols were sung. We have Mark, our organist to thank for this, as he has done this in the past and was a master of organisation, this was backed by our lovely Ann Rose (who organises Sunbeam’s so well) who threw herself into the whole idea and led the group with her normal relaxed warmth. Even remembering to give each little Sunbeam a Christmas gift. Thank you everyone for making this a new part of our service, we think the church will bulge next year, just so that people can enjoy this special occasion.
